Estamos actualmente rodeados de constantes explicações. Dados que conduzem a novos dados, ideias que dão origem a novas ideias, procedem de uma espécie de dependência epistemológica superficial e uma produção forçada de conceitos sobre as coisas, sobre o mundo e em particular sobre a arte. É assim como se já não conseguíssemos apreciar uma exposição sem a exigência que esta nos promova um ponto de vista pré-determinado. Da mesma maneira, parece que a curadoria e os seus textos assumem a responsabilidade de uma pedagogia constrangida sobre um determinado tema, sobre as obras de arte ou sobre os artistas. Em consequência, o verdadeiro é pois o que se produz, o que se vê, aquilo em que se acredita. Está dependente da crença, das necessidades e dos desejos individuais, que delimitam o seu campo de acção. Esta exposição promove uma heterogeneidade de visões e de olhares na honestidade da vontade e de um desejo de reencontro sob o mesmo tecto e sobre o mesmo chão. Azar ou sorte, a mística e a superstição estão indelevelmente ligadas ao número 13: A Última Ceia, Epifania, Bar Mitzvah, teenager, etc., são algumas das interpretações a que está susceptível. Nesta casa podemos sentir (ou não), a «superstição» que resulta de relações interpessoais onde talvez também cada um de nós possa participar. A exposição 13 é um encontro de cúmplices. Um encontro de 13 artistas oriundos de vários cantos do mundo.

We are currently surrounded by constant explanations. Information leading to new data, ideas that give rise to new ideas, come from a sort of superficial epistemological dependence and forced a generation of concepts about things, about the world and in particular about the art. It is as if we could no longer enjoy an exhibition if this one fails the requirement to promote a pre-determined point of view. Similarly, it appears that curatorship and its texts bear the responsibility of a constrained teaching about a certain topic on the works of art or the artists.

Consequently, the real is what it is produced, what you see, what is believe in. It is dependent on belief, on the needs and desires of the individual, which delimit its field of action. This exhibition promotes heterogeneity of views and visions with an honest will and desire for reunion under the same roof and on the same floor. Chance or luck, the mysticism and superstition are indelibly linked to number 13: The Last Supper, Epiphany, Bar Mitzvah, teenager, and so on, are some of the interpretations to which it is susceptible. In this house we can feel (and then maybe not), the "superstition" that results from interpersonal relationships where perhaps each one of us will also participate.

This exhibition is a 13 accomplices meeting. A meeting of 13 artists from various corners of the world.
